Paul Marcellini Photography around Miami

Hello everyone, I wanted to give you all early notice of 2 confirmed art shows. The first is Oct. 31 – Nov. 1, 2009. It is the 19th annual In the Park With Art at the Palmetto Bay Village Center. The address for that is: 18001 Old Cutler Road, Palmetto Bay, Fl 33157.

The second is the next weekend, the South Miami Art Festival, located right by Sunset Place. It is the Nov. 7-8, 2009.

Also, I currently have 3 pieces up at the Homestead Art Club’s Spirit of South Dade Art Show, up for the month of September.

I have 1 piece up at the newly opened Mango Cafe at the Fruit and Spice Park as well. It is for sale and will be up until January.

Would love to meet anybody that comes to the shows.

Fading Away takes 2nd

One of my personal favorite shots, Fading Away, took second in PopPhoto’s June “Your Best Shot” contest. I’m honored to be a winner and happy for a little cash in my pocket. =) Just bought a 82mm slim polarizer, ouch that hurt. Here is the shot:img_6475

Simply 21 Megapixels

So my Canon 5d Mark II came in yesterday. I couldn’t wait to get out after work. Of course, as always happens this time of year, the clouds mostly dissipated, but I still got something I like. It is pretty simple, but I can print is really big. =) I can’t wait to try this new toy out on some detail rich scenes and see what comes of it.

Successful Show/News

This past weekend was the most successful show to date. So much for the economy. =) I also am starting to see some trends in favorite images, which is always interesting to know. Anyways, to those of you that bought some work, thank you. I am now anxiously waiting for my new Canon 5d Mark II. 21 mega-pixels of goodness! Anyways, thanks again to all who showed up.

Also, its way in advance but I am happy to announce I will be showing my work for the month of December 2010 in the Everglades National Park Visitor Center. It is a big honor, and I can’t wait.

At Miami International Orchid Show
