Wall Filler!

I have been completely impressed with the image quality of the 5d2, but hadn’t pushed it too much in print size just yet. I am sorry if this is a repeat to those on Facebook, but I wanted to let everyone know that most of my images in the past year have been taken with the 5d2, and those should all look great at 40″x60″.  And to show you, here is Mangrove Magic, as a gallery wrapped canvas. It is as wide as a queen sized bed, if anyone has an empty space up there.  I really wish I could print all my 5d2 files this big, because it is awesome to see them at this size.

Very impressive, Paul! Both the image and the print. I’ve had the same experience with the 5D2.

Awesome Paul!!! Bet it’s incredible in-person. Where do you get prints, cause I’ve been looking at White House Custom Color but I don’t think they do wrapped canvas like this?

Paul, this is gorgeous. What an incredible shot and what a great way to display it… I’m using the 1Ds3, so the files are very similar… I’ve never printed anything quite this big (20×30 is as big as I’ve gone) Are you using the simple bicubic smoother method in PS to upres, or are you using a different method/software app?

    Thanks

Thanks Mac! I have been using bicubic smoother or just the bicubic and been very happy with results. I just got Genuine Fractals but have yet to put it to the test. At the art shows I have had comments that my image quality surpasses medium format film, and no one has had a negative comment on quality yet. I do try to attain the best though, so if I find GF is better, will let you know.
