Coral Cove, Jupiter, FL

Last weekend I shot sunrise up in Jupiter, along the stretch of beach at Coral Cove County Park and Blowing Rocks. It was a rough morning, with a 3:30 wake-up call. We got there just in time and had pretty good conditions. The water was a touch low but I managed some compositions. What was left of a tropical storm was also blowing through so the salt spray in the air was a lot to deal with. The camera seems to be working fine so hopefully no damage done. The biggest problem is keeping the lens clean. I definitely recommend having at least a lens cloth or two if shooting on the beach.

Anyways, sunrise turned out nicely, and a bonus was a few hatchling sea turtles. We had to rescue one that was trapped in a deep hole in the rocks, and we released him further down the beach where it was sandy. All photos were taken with the Canon 5d2 and the Canon 16-35II, except the turtle shot, which was with the Tamron 180 macro. That has turned out to be a great lens.
